The Environment Agency clamping down on waste carriers in Bexley. The Environment Agency have disclosed details of a crackdown on illegal waste disposal in Bexley which resulted in four penalty notices and one vehicle being seized. The operation say officers pulling over vehicles to check they were registered as waste carriers, clamping down on those disposal without proper authorisation. A Dudley school’s sensory garden is set to flourish even more, thanks to a biodiversity grant. Thorns Primary in Quarry Bank boasts a fantastic garden completed last June, but now it plans to introduce rainwater ‘harvesting’, and enhance habitats by introducing lavender, fruit trees and bird boxes. Thorns is sharing in a £22,000 grant being handed to four schools and eight community groups or charities across the West Midlands by South Staffs Water, all for biodiversity projects....
