KDF PARTNERS WITH KFS TO PLANT 1500 TREES.
Kenya Defence Force (KDF) in collaboration with the Kenya Forest Services( KFS) and Ngong local populace, today conducted a tree planting exercise at the Bomas block of Ngong forest, Nairobi, where 1500 indigenous trees were planted.
KDF is complementing Kenya Forest Service efforts in rehabilitation and restoration of degraded forests through the Environmental Soldier Program which was initiated in 2018.The main aim of the program is to restore and protect the already dilapidated forest cover.
Led by DHQ Camp Admin Unit, Commanding Officer, the exercise brought on board the Bomas Assistant Chief Mr. Charles Ouma Awino and Kazi Mtaani Youth.
