KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia is expected to react negatively to the sharp decline on Wall Street overnight following the release of higher-than-expected inflation data, which could decrease the number of rate cuts planned by the Federal Reserve for this year.

We remain buoyant on sectors like financials, aspirational consumption, industrials, consumer discretionary, capital goods, real estate, and infrastructure to participate this year also.

NEW YORK: Global stock indexes were little changed on Monday while the U.S. dollar inched higher ahead of Tuesday's U.S. consumer price index report, which could provide clues on when the Federal Reserve is likely to begin cutting interest rates.

S&P 500 futures are down 0.43%, Dow Jones futures drop 0.19%, and Nasdaq futures lose 0.77%.
