Came across the horrific crash, he is comforted knowing that he did the best he could to try to save the officer. He was driving home with his family when he saw the mangled wreckage of the chp car and a red cadillac he saw a red that he saw racing on the speedway freeway moments earlier. The officer was 33 years old and he leaves behind a wife and three young children. He died from injuries from a crash that happened just before midnight on december 24. He and his partner were parked on the shoulder. Investigators say that a drunk driver slammed into the officers patrol car and injuring him and killing his partner.
