Yeshiva University has been granted permission by the Supreme Court to temporarily ban an LGBTQ+ student group.

The Supreme Court has granted a temporary emergency stay of the New York Appellate Court’s decision in YU Pride Alliance v.

Sonia Sotomayor’s ruling will be in place pending a decision by the Supreme Court to take up the case.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Friday granted an injunction to Yeshiva University, blocking the implementation of a New York trial court's order compelling official recognition of a gay student group by the school.
