Central Pa. man found in Susquehanna River died from accidental drowning: report Updated Feb 17, 2021; The death of a Mechanicsburg man who drowned in the Susquehanna River last month has been ruled accidental, according to a report from LancasterOnline. Eric Bieber, chief deputy of the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, previously confirmed the body was identified as Benjamin M. Shambaugh of Mechanicsburg. The 36-year-old had died by freshwater drowning, but the manner of death was not released at the time. On Wednesday, Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni told LancasterOnline that Shambaugh’s death has been ruled accidental. Shambaugh’s body was found around 10:36 a.m. Jan. 15, by a fisherman near Koser Park in Conoy Township, Susquehanna Regional Police previously reported.

Lancaster County coroner identifies Norristown man killed Tuesday in single-vehicle crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike

Updated: 3:43 PM EST January 27, 2021 LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. The Lancaster County Coroner s Office has identified the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash in Clay Township Tuesday afternoon. Oscar Cruz-Barahona, 19, of Norristown, was the sole occupant of a vehicle traveling east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike around 2:51 p.m., according to Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber.  Cruz-Barahona exited the highway in the area of Kleinfeltersville Road and lost control of his vehicle, according to Bieber. The vehicle rolled over several times before coming to rest on the roadway. Cruz-Barahona was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Lancaster County First Deputy Coroner Casey Buckley.
