The results will be a good indicator of the country’s mood beyond the polling, which is often “a lagging indicator,” Boyd Matheson, the host of KSL News Radio’s “Inside Sources,” told the Deseret News. In the deep-red strongholds of Kentucky and Mississippi, incumbent governors are vying for reelection.
