The Northwest Bronx Coalition for Refugees has spearheaded an effort to collect cash donations, clothing, toiletries, backpacks and the like for the new migrant neighbors at the former Van Cortlandt Motel on Broadway.

Of the $19,000 in landlord PAC donations to 14 sitting council members or candidates, $13,900 comes from Taxpayers for an Affordable New York.
