My father passed away about when i was just before my 15th birthday but i knew what i wanted to do the rest of my life and i didnt know how i was going to do it but i was on a mission to try to hook on to the news media somehow and become a part of photo journalism. Graduated high school. I was drafted, went into the air force and they said youre going to be a photographer and thats what i did. Why was that . They said well, at the time, this is 1967, vietnam wars going on, i was drafted, i didnt want to go to the army so i joined the air force.
