A Maryland high school's athletic director was arrested after he allegedly used artificial intelligence to create phony audio of the school's principal making racist and antisemitic remarks.

Dazhon Darien, 31, allegedly used OpenAI and Bingchat to re-create Eric Eiswerts voice making remarks about black students and two Jewish teachers.

“From the beginning of this incident, the recording seemed odd and suspicious,” Howard Libit, executive director of the Baltimore Jewish Council, said on Thursday.

Athletic Director Dazhon Darien used AI to mimic Pikesville High School Principal Eric Eiswert spouting racist rhetoric in a demented revenge scheme, cops said.

 

The viral circulation led to significant consequences as the principal was temporarily removed from the school.
