Local religious leaders and members of the community urged people to empathize with the Palestinian victims of violence during a rally Wednesday in Pullmanâs Reaney Park. About 60 people of all ages attended the rally to support the Palestinians in the middle of a bloody conflict with Israel that has killed more than 200 Palestinian people, including children. A rematch of a 2017 Pullman City Council race may be shaping up for this year. The Executive Director of United Way of Whitman County Eric Fejeran has announced his candidacy for the seat held by Al Sorensen. Sorensen defeated Fejeran with 57% of the vote 4 years ago. For starters, it expanded into the former Mock Orange restaurant adjacent to the coffee shop, where it now serves food and alcohol. The United Way of Whitman County is now accepting grant applications from registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations until May 17.
