Workshop gathers information for Michigans $1.8 billion for high-speed internet that wont be available until 2024

(The Center Square) – The Michigan High-Speed Internet Office opened the application window for $238 million of federal funding for broadband infrastructure networks for underserved areas statewide.

Thanks $238M in federal funding, unserved areas in Michigan will be able to get access to high-speed internet.

An online map from the Federal Communications Commission will be used this year to determine how federal funds are allocated to states for broadband improvements. But the state says collecting challenges by Jan. 13 is essential.

With billions to be spent based on a new map of high speed internet, the state wants Michiganders to test its accuracy.
