The holidays are over and fresh events are around the corner, from a dance festival at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble to new art exhibits.

ECI had three sectional champions — Yorktown, Monroe Central and Blue River — last year, and several teams should again compete titles in 2022-23.

Mean Girls

Despite some technical difficulties, "Mean Girls the Musical" is a solid, worthy adaptation of the Tina Fey movie, though it tries to cram in too much of the plot and ups the number of positive and affirming social messages.

"Mean Girls" was initially supposed to come to Appleton in January, but was rescheduled due to COVID-19 cases within the company.

Prior to next week’s arrival of the film-inspired musical MEAN GIRLS to Proctors, I spoke with Lindsay Heather Pearce, who recently took over the role of Janis on tour. Her resume includes some notable television and theater credits, including her participation on The Glee Project/Glee and her Broadway debut as Elphaba in WICKED.
