Tokai Holdings Corp. (Tokai) of Japan is buying a chunk of Repower Energy Development Corp. (REDC) shares on offer in its initial public offering (IPO) as an anchor investor. REDC, a subsidiary of Pure Energy Holdings Corp., announced Thursday that Tokai will take a 32.5-percent stake out of REDC’s IPO.…

In a statement on Wednesday, REDC indicated that this move will cover two wind energy service contracts. The wind farms will be facing the Pacific Ocean, which will allow greater energy production owing to sea breeze.

Last August a rainbow over Jackson Beach closed out the San Juan Island Foundation’s Pride Festival, a festival that far exceeded attendance expectations. The 2023 event takes place during Pride month at the Fairgrounds June 17 from 4-10 p.m.

Repower Energy Development Corp. (REDC) and Austria-based Gugler Water Turbines GMBH (Gugler) have teamed up to develop seawater pumped storage projects.
