The U.S. Supreme Court has given the federal government the right to end the migrant protection program; local attorney reacts to the decision.

Austin ISD is urging the school board to include $50 million for affordable housing for teachers in the 2022 bond package. Teachers have raised concerns about what it would be like to live in employer-owned housing.

The Brooks County fire began on Saturday and has claimed almost 6,000 acres in the southern part of the state.

Brooks County Judge Eric Ramos said the attack affected the county's Justice of the Peace, district court, and finance department.

"In my opinion, our politicians are doing nothing to fix the issue," Eric Ramos, a teacher at AISD, said.

President Biden announced Title 42 will end next month. It's a law that prevented many immigrants from crossing into the United States because of Covid-19. Brooks County has to prepare for what will come next.

As of this morning, the Premont Volunteer Fire Department said they have plenty of donations, and they are very thankful for that.

So far no homes have been destroyed.
