Weymouth restaurants see light at end of tunnel Wicked Local WEYMOUTH  According to some restaurant owners, indoor dining is on the rise in Weymouth and across the region as the coronavirus pandemic eases. Eric Papachristos, owner of The Venetian in East Weymouth, said things are getting a little better every day at his restaurant. “It’s been a tough year, but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” said Papachristos, who is also co-owner of Trade, a Boston restaurant, and Salon, in Cambridge s Harvard Square.    Papachristos said restaurant patronage should continue increase during the months ahead because people understand more about the coronavirus than they did last year.

Owner Kevin Hynes and his son Erik presented them with an oversized check for $100,000 at the company’s staff meeting on Monday. “All my restaurants were closed for three months. But we had that core group of individuals that stuck with us,” Kevin Hynes said in a telephone interview. “We’re starting to come out of it. We have to take care of the people who took care of us.”
