Wiens currently lives in Truman and works as a corrections officer for the Brown County Sheriff’s department. She also volunteers with Truman Ambulance Service and Truman Fire and Rescue and is only the 2nd woman to serve in the Truman Fire Department. Wiens shares her background and how she got to where she is now. “I grew up in Apple Valley and went to college at Minnesota State University in Mankato,” she said. “Then I met my husband and about four years ago we moved here to Truman and I joined the fire department.”
