The number of people who have died trying to reach a better life in europe has passed 2,000. Still they come. Another 306 people have just arrived in italy, rescued by the italian coast guard. According to the International Organization for migration, the crossing into europe is by far the most dangerous route for migrants in the world, approximately 188,000 migrants have been rescued in the mediterranean so far this year. Most set off to europe from countries like tunisia, libya and syria. Some make their way to france, are where thousands are now trying to reach britain.
