State and territory leaders from across the country have gathered in unity to affirm their support for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament. 

A new Essential Poll showed the Yes campaign has gained ground for the first time in months, as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese maintained the referendum was "certainly winnable."

While the latest Essential polls shows an improvement for the “yes” vote, it’s still not enough for it to lead.

In the national poll, 42% of respondents said they were a hard ‘no’, compared to 28% who said they were a hard ‘yes’.

As support for the Voice continues to slide, voters are turning away from the Albanese government too.

If the “yes” case is to win the October referendum, there will need to be sharp turn around in the polling trends to date.
