Authorities identify 45-year-old man killed in N.J. shooting

The victim of a Monday night killing in Newark was identified as a 45-year-old city man, authorities said.
Malik Fogler was fatally shot in the 1000 block of South Orange Avenue and died at the scene shortly after 9 p.m., according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
In a statement, the prosecutor’s office said the Essex County Homicide Task Force was investigating. Authorities did not immediately release more information on the attack.
