Le Burger Week 2023 has officially concluded, marking the end of an exciting two-week-long burger festival across Canada. Burger lovers sank their teeth into some of the boldest, beefiest and biggest burger creations with five notable restaurants and their unique take on the classic burger coming out on top.
Montreal's burger scene is vast and diverse, with restaurants serving up juicy patties and creative toppings that have turned the dish into a canvas for culinary creativity. You can get the ultimate comfort food topped with crispy bacon and melted cheddar or a little less conventional topped with a mini-poutine or pickled papaya or with grilled cheese sandwiches replacing the bun. Even high-end eateries can't resist featuring them on their menus.
Montreal's burger game is decent, solid even especially when you're looking to satisfy your late-night bite craving with a fat and juicy burger. Five Guys, La Belle Province and Notre-Boeuf-de-Grâce are a few classic faves for when you're feeling a little naughty, but it's worth adding a new resto on the block to your list: Billy K's.
Le Burger Week 2022 definitely beefed things up across the 514 over the last two weeks with over 70 participating restaurants showcasing their juiciest burger creations. With a number of limited edition burgers and an added focus on plant-based options this year, one Montreal spot stood out the most. The winning spot? Chez Simon Cantine Urbaine and its Le Classique Urbaine was a clear crowd pleaser.
