Wednesday marked a decade of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which protects children of undocumented immigrants from deportation and creates a pathway to work.
Former President Barack Obama announced the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, in 2012. Former President Donald Trump tried to repeal the law and failed, but now under President Joe Biden, Dreamers have an uncertain future. The Dream Act, sponsored by Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill. and Lindsey Graham R-S.C., could change that.
