Demolition began Tuesday afternoon on the 27-year-old, landmark River City Brewing Co. restaurant on the Southbank of downtown Jacksonville.

River City Brewing Co., a dining landmark on Jacksonvilles Southbank for more than 27 years, will close its doors for good on Sunday. Located at 835 Museum Circle, near the Museum of Science and History, the restaurant plans to close following brunch service on Sunday, according to a message on its website.
