GM Chief Financial Officer Paul Jacobson said at a Barclays event the automaker would see improvements next year in EV margins as it expects to hit mid single-digit earnings before interest and taxes margin targets by 2025. "We dont want to be the next Tesla. We want to be the best GM that we can be," Jacobson said.

Electric vehicles may achieve price parity with fossil-fuel models in Europe by 2024 and in the U.S. market by 2026, according to a new research. Furthermore, it is projected that electric vehicles could comprise two thirds of global car sales by 2030.
