The House passed a measure that would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from finalizing a rule imposing emission standards for certain vehicles — marking another effort by House Republicans to tackle the Biden administration’s regulations on climate and pollution.

The Delhi High Court has stated that existing regulations regarding mandatory insurance, wearing headgear, and penalties for non-compliance apply to electric vehicles. The court directed the Delhi government to ensure timely disbursement of subsidies for electric vehicles. The court dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking compulsory insurance and helmet-wearing for electric two-wheelers, stating that the claims were unsubstantiated.
