The cold of early February did not stop hundreds of people from gathering on the frozen Black Lake in Cheboygan County to catch sturgeon during what some people call the “shortest fishing season” of the year in Michigan.

Join local musicians from the Cheboygan area for “The Peters, Pauls and Marys” benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the Cheboygan Opera House.

Each week during the summer, the Cheboygan Main Street-Downtown Development Authority hosts a concert in Washington Park, with a different musician performing each week.
