A limited supply of bottled water will be distributed at 2 p.m. Monday at the Harriet and Joe Foster Family YMCA, 1234 W. 34th St., as Houston continues to recover from last week s winter storm and some area residents still do not have running water in their homes. The water distribution event is being hosted by the office of Houston City Council member Abbie Kamin, who is partnering with the city, Mayor Sylvester Turner, the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. Another distribution event is being held at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston, 5601 S. Braeswood Blvd., also at 2 p.m. Monday. At both events, water will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
