Ceasefire talks are taking place in Saudi Arabia while fighting continues in Khartoum.

It is reportedly claimed that military and humanitarian matters will only be discussed, as the Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that pre-negotiation talks have taken place.

The talks had yielded “no major progress” as both sides believe they can win the battle, a Saudi diplomat said.
