Last year, RSPCA wildlife centres cared for 2,788 birds that were picked up by well-meaning people. But many of these birds were not actually orphans and may have been better off left in the wild. The charity is gearing up for a raft of orphaned, sick and injured baby birds Tuesday, 11th May 2021, 12:12 pm The RSPCA is giving new baby bird advice as figures reveal the charity received almost 9,000 calls about orphaned, sick and injured baby birds last year - 97 of which came from Bedfordshire.
