Civil servants in Hong Kong have always been an important pillar supporting the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. At the same time, they have always been dedicated to their duties and committed to provide public services to the people of Hong Kong.  The Civil Service Bureau has organised the “Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme” on a biennial or triennial basis since 1999. The objective of the scheme is to recognise the efforts of bureaux/departments. In 2022, for the first time, the Civil Service Bureau cooperates with the Innovation and Technology and Industry Bureau to launch the "Innovation and Technology Award" to recognise bureaus/departments which are proactive in devising and implementing innovative measures and impactful solutions, and encourage a wider adoption of innovation and technology by civil servants to improve public services.   The 2022 Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme awards include: 1
