The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday conducted searches at the residence of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and several other locations in different states in connection with the alleged scam in the recently withdrawn excise policy of the Aam Aadmi Party government.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) may initiate a money laundering investigation over the framing and execution of the AAP government's excise policy, official sources said on Friday after the CBI raided Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and others in the matter.

BJP and AAP have been embroiled in a tussle over the ongoing excise policy row in Delhi, and CBI raids conducted against Manish Sisodia.

The transfer orders were issued by the Services Department, which comes under the LG.
