GLASTONBURY A Cromwell man was struck and killed by a vehicle while “walking against traffic” on Route 2 early Wednesday morning, according to state police.
An accident report released Wednesday identified the victim as Malcolm O. Privott, 33, of Wightman Place.
A 38-year-old Enfield man was driving east on Route 2 near the Exit 11 on-ramp in the left of two lanes just before 4 a.m., the state police report said.

MALTA A crash closed the northbound side of the Northway near Exit 12 and sent three people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, State Police said.
The crash forced troopers to close the highway before Exit 11. Northbound traffic is being detoured off the highway.
The wreck occurred at 1:36 p.m. in a work zone just south of Exit 12. It was unclear when the highway might reopen.
A state Department of Transportation truck was among the vehicles involved, police said.
