Subsidies to export-oriented industry linked with performance   Published On 27 May,2021 05:39 pm The Minister for Energy also drew attention of the participants towards the scarcity of natural gas ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government on Thursday decided that subsidies to the export oriented sector in the upcoming budget for the next fiscal year (2021-22), would be given on the basis of actual consumption/accrual, while more targeted approach for disbursement would be adopted. The decision was made during a meeting that was convened to discuss the new tariff for the Industry/ Export Oriented Sectors in the upcoming budget, according to press statement issued by the Finance Ministry. Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin chaired the meeting.

New Manufacturer Exporters Will Get Concessions on Electricity, RLNG, and Gas Tariffs The new manufacturers-cum-exporters of textile, leather, carpets, sports, and surgical goods can enjoy concessionary tariff of electricity, RLNG, and gas from January 1, 2021, after fulfilment of certain conditions of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). In this connection, Export-oriented Sector Registration Cell (ESRC) of FBR would deal with the new manufacturers-cum-exporters, who intended to avail the concessionary tariff of electricity, RLNG and natural gas. The FBR has issued a procedure for registration of new entrants/manufacturers in export-oriented sectors to qualify for the concessionary regime of electricity, RLNG and gas tariff from January 1, 2021.
