Climate protestors put their case in Cardigan last December. Over 70 people attended a successful online climate hustings, arranged by Extinction Rebellion Aberteifi to discuss issues affecting the planet. It was broadly agreed that cooperative approach was needed to deal with the challenges of mitigating climate change. Jim Bowen, who chaired the hustings said: “The outgoing Government have declared a climate emergency; the next Government needs to follow up with actions. “This is a crucial election – our last chance to elect a government who will prioritise the climate. It will be too late by the next election. “And having noted what all candidates and parties had to say on the matter, we look forward to holding those elected to their promises.”
