Filipino Formula 1 Academy driver Bianca Bustamante has made history once again by becoming the first female driver to be signed to McLaren's driver development program. Making history: The 18-year-old teen will race for McLaren under the banner of ART Grand Prix in the 2024 F1 Academy season. As the first-ever female driver signed to McLaren, she will be guided by former McLaren test driver Emanuele Pirro, who is a Formula 1 driver and Le Mans winner.
F1 Academy driver Bianca Bustamante has become the first female signed to McLaren’s driver development program and will race in the team’s colors in 2024. All Formula 1 teams will support at least one driver in F1 Academy next season, including running the livery on one of the cars.
