Man who barricaded self in east El Paso home with kids is re-arrested for violating protective order
UPDATE, March 11: A man arrested after barricading himself inside an east El Paso home with his two children earlier this week was released from jail only to be arrested again, police said Friday.
Fabian Gallardo posted $35,000 bond on family violence and other charges. Within an hour of his release, police said he returned to the family home at 2200 block of Cumbre Negra in violation of a protective order.
Gallardo was booked into the downtown jail again on two counts of violation of a protective order. He was being held on $4,000 bond.
Fabian Gallardo Jr., 26, was arrested Thursday after he was located by police.
On Monday, Gallardo was arrested after surrendering to SWAT officers at an East Side home in the in 2200 block of Cumbre Negra Street.
Gallardo was booked on charges of continuous family violence, unlawful restraint and interference with an emergency call after Monday s incident.
About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Gallardo was released from jail on bond, police said. An hour later, police got a 911 call saying he had shown up at the home in violation of a protective order. He later was found by police and arrested.
As of late Thursday morning, Gallardo remained held at the El Paso County Jail in Downtown under a $4,000 bond on charges of violation of bond and violation of a protective order.
