ID R&D is claiming a top spot for the security and convenience of its printed photo and screen replay attacks in biometrics testing by NIST.

NIST has published two new reports, one on presentation attack detection and another on facial image quality, revealing consequential findings for each.

Two NIST evaluation studies will help software better detect photo spoofs and image quality issues.

The FRVT will be replaced with the Face Recognition Technology Evaluation (FRTE) and the Face Analysis Technology Evaluation (FATE).

The results of testing by NIST show top-ranking accuracy for Idemia algorithms across iris, fingerprint and face biometric modalities.
