paso. first, cnn senior white house correspondent ed henry. the president will stand at the u.s.-mexican border to make his case. his case for what exactly? well, first time as president that he s at the u.s.-mexico border. the case is going to be pretty straightforward. there are republicans pushing for years for more border security first, before you move on to path for citizenship for illegal immigrants. he s going to make the case, that starting in the bush administration, carrying on through this administration, since 2004, the government has doubled the number of border patrol agents and tripled the number of intelligence analysts along the border to make it more secure. there are critics on capitol hill, some democrats as well saying it s not enough. the president is going to try to make the case this is a down payment in terms of improving security so now there should be some sort of a reasonable path of citizenship if people pay a
