New rules regarding weddings game into play on Monday, giving newlyweds more freedom about planning weddings. Weddings and civil partnership ceremonies now permit up to 30 people in COVID-secure venues that are permitted to open. They can take place either indoors in a COVID-secure venue (this does not include private homes), or outdoors (which does include private gardens). Guests will still need to wear face coverings and have also been advised not to dance. While these restrictions still aren’t ideal- they are still much more relaxed than before and shouldn’t prevent you from marrying the love of your life.
As of April 12, pubs and restaurants were allowed to open their outdoor areas for customer. People can also meet up in outdoor areas or gardens as long as they are following the rule of six. At the time of writing, more than 50 million coronavirus vaccinations have been given out in the United Kingdom which has been a large contributor to the fall in hospitalisations and deaths as a result of the virus.
