Heather Walker, a teaching assistant professor and associate department head of the Ralph Martin Department of Chemical Engineering, has been chosen as the recipient of the Ro Di Brezzo Service to Teaching Award.

This innovative technology solution will allow students enrolled in the event management minor to plan, execute and evaluate events without negatively affecting actual, real-time proceedings.

More than 80 faculty members spent three days learning how to engage students in the classroom while also building interpersonal and professional relationships with peers.

Six times a year the Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center publishes a newsletter of advice for first-year faculty at the U of A. For April 2023 the theme was the value in mentoring honors students.

The Ralph E. Martin Department of Chemical Engineering will dedicate the Dr. Jim L. Turpin Student Advising Center at 1 p.m. Friday, April 14, in Bell Engineering Center, room 3202.

Three directors serve staggered three-year terms, and one of those co-director positions will come open this summer. Apply by 5 p.m. Friday, April 15, if interested in serving.
