Pedestrian becomes San Jose's 18th traffic death

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and killed Friday night in San Jose, according to the police department’s Twitter account.
The driver cooperated with investigators, staying at the scene after the accident, which occurred at 10:48 p.m. in the 2900 block of Senter Road, near Los Lagos Golf Course. The death was the city’s 18th traffic fatality in 2021.
In a news release about an earlier accident, the San Jose Police Department said it’s still probing a fatal May 4 hit-and-run that killed an adult male.
The victim was riding an electric unicycle on Kooser Road when he fell and was struck by a small, white SUV, which then fled. Police posted a video of the suspect vehicle and asked the public for help in identifying it.
