MANKATO — The Gin Blossoms, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Rodney Atkins are among the headline performers in August at the 26th annual RibFest in Mankato.

As part of Artpark & Companys 50th anniversary season, Gin Blossoms + Toad the Wet Sprocket will perform at the Artpark Amphitheater on Sunday, Aug. 11. Its a 6 p.m. start, with special guest Vertical Horizon.

The music scene starts slowly in 2024, with just a handful of shows beginning on the second weekend.

Jesse Valenzuela is a guitar player and singer for Gin Blossoms, who are set to take the Great Frederick Fair stage with Fastball, Sugar Ray and Tonic on Sept. 15.

Robin Wilson, the iconic voice of the multi-platinum selling Gin Blossoms — and current frontman for The Smithereens — will join the ranks of Long Island legends lBilly Joel, Joan Jett, Carole King, Twisted Sister, Public Enemy and countless others when he is inducted into the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame on Friday.

The band's singer/guitarist grew up in Phoenix, but has been a longtime LI resident.

Two iconic bands from the 1990s are touring together and making a stop in Eastern Iowa, Fans will be able to see the two bands in Cedar Rapids in early September.
