Yesterday we saw wind gusts along the Rocky Mountain Front exceeding 70 mph in some isolated spots. Strong wind continues once again today, especially out east where fire danger is a concern.
One more day of cold temperatures leads to a warming weekend, but very strong winds already have portions of the Rocky Mountain Front under a High Wind Watch for Sunday.
Most of our snow accumulation across the state may be over, but the winter-like temperatures will stick around until the weekend when we will return to around seasonal average.
It's going to be a great weekend to get outdoors and enjoy everything our great state has to offer. Aside from some spotty showers and storms, partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures dominate.
With an upper-level ridge now firmly in place over the state of Montana, temperatures will rise into the 70s by tomorrow and last throughout the weekend.
