經調閱身分資料後發現，陳姓男子為竊盜通緝犯，因案遭判刑一年多，預計今年5月要入監服刑，但是卻落跑遭到通緝，日前發現陳嫌躲在山區果園內，專案小組比照重大刑案積極偵辦，調閱監視器並運用偵訊技巧發現落角處。
但專案小組圍捕後，卻發現陳嫌出現感冒症狀，在現場還不斷流鼻水，令專案小組人員心裡發毛，立刻穿上隔離衣，同時也請衛生局人員在場幫警方及陳嫌進行全身消毒，並派遣防疫專車送到集中隔離所。
警方表示，陳嫌當時有感冒流鼻水徵狀，警方不敢大意，除全程著防護衣外並通知衛生局人員到場協助，經評估後由防疫專車送隔離所隔離，該通緝犯初步篩檢為陰性，然仍須待隔離期滿後再行偵辦，於逮捕後也由衛生局人
