Home Depot Recalls Ceiling Fans

Over 5000 of the fans were sold in Canada, between May and October of 2020. There have been no reports of incidents here,  but in the United States, Home Depot has received 47 reports of a blade detaching. In two of those incidents, a person was hit by a flying blade, and in four others, the blade caused other damages. Thousands of ceiling fans recalled because "blades can detach during use"

Health Canada Health Canada is recalling thousands of ceiling fans because the blades can come off while they’re being used. The health authority issued a joint recall with King of Fans, Inc. for Hampton Bay Mara 54-inch Ceiling Fans on December 23.
