The New York Department of Health proposed adding 4 PFAS to the New York PFAS drinking water standards for PFOA and PFOS. Under the DOH proposal, PFDA, PFNA, PFHxS and PFHpA would be added to the regulated chemicals list. The EPA is also prioritizing PFAS contamination.

The EPA formally sent its proposed PFAS drinking water rule to the White House Office of Management and Budget. The step is a big one for the EPA as it continues to establish enforceable drinking water standards. The OMB has 90 days to review the proposed rule.
