Extra Time looks at the report into gymnastics in New Zealand which identified a culture of fear and retribution and led to the national body publicly apologising to anyone who s been harmed as a result.
Survivors of abuse in gymnastics are continuing to be sidelined as Gymnastics New Zealand misses its first deadline for addressing the “insidious culture” uncovered in the sport by an independent review. Gymnastics New Zealand was due to establish a steering committee by the end of March. The formation of the committee was one of the more than 50 recommendations from an independent review to address the culture in the sport.
