Police Move To Re-arrest Nnamdi Emeh, Nigerian Who Exposed Organ Trafficking Ring In Anambra Command, After Likely Release On Bail Monday

Nnamdi Emeh, who exposed an organ trafficking ring in Anambra police command, will likely be released on bail on Monday, SaharaReporters has learnt. However, it was also learnt that the police had finalised plans to rearrest Emeh as soon as he was released on bail. SaharaReporters earlier reported that 26-year-old Emeh, a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and an IT consultant to the Anambra State Police Command had been in detention since March 3, 2023.

A Federal High Court in Awka, the Anambra State capital, on Wednesday, granted bail to Nnamdi Emeh, the whistleblower who exposed an organ trafficking ring within Anambra police command.   SaharaReporters earlier reported that the Nigeria Police Force had finally arraigned Emeh before a Federal High Court in Awka, on 12 counts. They accused him of committing crimes alleged to have violated several regulations and laws. After the charges were read, Emeh, however, pleaded not guilty.  

Nigerian Court Gives Stringent Bail Conditions To Whistleblower, Nnamdi Emeh, Who Exposed Organ Trafficking Ring In Anambra Police

Justice F. O. Riman of the Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State has fixed May 24, 25, 30 and 31, 2023, for accelerated hearing on 12 counts brought against Nnamdi Emeh by the Nigeria police.   Emeh is the whistleblower who exposed an organ trafficking ring within the Anambra State police command.   SaharaReporters earlier on Wednesday reported that the court granted the whistleblower bail and that while he was yet to meet the stringent bail conditions, the police already had plans to re-arrest him on the court premises.

  The Nigeria Police Force has finally brought Nnamdi Emeh, the whistleblower who exposed an organ trafficking ring within Anambra police command, before a Federal High Court in Awka, the state capital.   Emeh was arraigned at the Federal High Court on Thursday.   The police filed 12 counts against him, accusing him of committing crimes alleged to have violated several regulations and laws.   Emeh, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
