A RESTAURANT owner is hoping to give his business a much-needed boost after the pandemic by tripling the space on his roof terrace. Mehmet Hassain, owner of Fellini’s Dolce Vita Italian restaurant, in Elm Road, Leigh, was hit hard during the pandemic after takeaway sales failed to prove popular. Mr Hassain has now submitted a licensing application in a bid to increase the amount of people allowed in the outside terrace from 16 to 48 people. Mr Hassain said: “It’s just been really hard for 18 months not being able to open. We lost out on takeaway trade while we were closed.
