Area businesses, nonprofits, homeowners and renters can apply for disaster loans until Nov. 7 to cover damage from spring flooding, provided through the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Though a farm disaster was only declared in two South Dakota counties, small businesses in other neighboring counties may also be eligible for funding.
Anyone in the declared counties with physical property damage caused by severe thunderstorms and tornadoes on May 29-30 should apply for the low-interest disaster loan program.
